StoreIT – Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the StoreIT website and platform (collectively, the "Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Definitions

1.1 "Account" means a registered user account on the Platform.

1.2 "Platform" means the online service operated by StoreIT.

1.3 "Website" means https://joinstoreit.com.

1.4 "User" means any individual or entity using the Platform.

1.5 "Items" means any goods stored with StoreIT.

1.6 "Prohibited Items" include, without limitation, perishable goods, living creatures, hazardous materials, firearms, illegal items, or items restricted by law.

1.7 "Storage Services" include pickup, storage, cataloguing, and delivery of Items.

2. User Account

2.1 Users must be at least 18 years old or authorized to use an Account for a business entity.

2.2 Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of Account credentials.

2.3 Users must provide accurate information and promptly update it as necessary.

3. Platform Use

3.1 StoreIT grants Users a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform solely for personal or authorized business purposes.

3.2 Users must not:

  • Copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or decompile any part of the Platform.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Platform.
  • Use the Platform for unlawful purposes, to harm others, or to compete with StoreIT.
  • Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the Platform.

3.3 StoreIT does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Platform and may suspend availability for maintenance or unforeseen issues. StoreIT shall not be liable for delays, interruptions, or errors in Platform operation.

4. Storage of Items

4.1 User Responsibilities

Users agree to the following when storing Items with StoreIT:

  1. Ownership and Authorization: Ensure all Items stored are your property or you are authorized to use the Storage Services.
  2. Fragile Items: Users storing fragile Items waive claims for damage unless properly packed, labeled, and declared as fragile.
  3. Packing Responsibility: Users are responsible for proper packing of sealed or private Items.
  4. Storage Conditions: StoreIT facilities are not temperature- or humidity-controlled. Users assume all risk for sensitive Items.
  5. Battery Removal: Remove batteries from battery-operated Items to prevent damage.
  6. Prohibited Items: Users may not store Prohibited Items as listed in Section 1.6.
  7. Right to Inspect or Refuse: StoreIT reserves the right to inspect, refuse, or repack any item posing a risk to personnel, property, or other stored goods.

5. Pickup and Delivery

5.1 Users must provide accurate addresses and ensure access for pickup and delivery.

5.2 Scheduling is subject to availability. Missed or failed appointments may incur fees.

5.3 StoreIT provides a managed storage service and does not grant Users any tenancy, lease, or exclusive rights to a physical storage space.

5.4 Service times are estimates and not guaranteed. StoreIT is not liable for delays or cancellations due to external circumstances.

5.5 StoreIT may subcontract delivery, logistics, or storage operations to trusted third-party providers.

6. Fees, Payment, and Refunds

6.1 Users agree to pay all fees as published on the Platform. Fees may include storage, pickup, delivery, surcharges, and applicable taxes.

6.2 Payments are processed via accepted methods. Late payments may incur interest, collection costs, or disposal of Items per StoreIT policy.

6.3 If charges remain unpaid for 60 days past the due date, StoreIT may withhold, sell, or dispose of Items to recover unpaid fees.

Refunds and Cancellations:

  • More than 7 days before the scheduled date: 75% refund.
  • Between 3 and 7 days before the scheduled date: 50% refund.
  • Within 3 days of the scheduled date: No refund.

Refunds are processed within 10 business days, and StoreIT may deduct administrative fees.

7. Insurance

7.1 Risk of loss or damage remains with the User.

7.2 StoreIT provides a Basic Protection Guarantee covering up to SGD 100 per Item, maximum SGD 500 per Account.

7.3 Coverage applies only to loss or damage caused by StoreIT's proven negligence.

7.4 Claims must be submitted within 7 days of delivery; otherwise, they are deemed waived.

7.5 The Basic Protection Guarantee is not an insurance policy and does not replace personal coverage.

8. StoreIT Responsibilities

8.1 StoreIT will exercise reasonable care during handling, pickup, transport, and storage but is not liable for minor cosmetic damage.

8.2 StoreIT may photograph Items for operational verification and retain this data in compliance with the PDPA.

8.3 StoreIT is not liable for platform downtime, data loss, or transmission errors.

9. User Content and Feedback

9.1 Users may submit feedback, reviews, or other materials ("User Content"). By submitting such content, Users grant StoreIT a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and reproduce the content for promotional or operational purposes.

9.2 Users are responsible for ensuring their content does not infringe third-party rights or violate any law. StoreIT reserves the right to remove any content without notice.

10. External Links and Third-Party Content

10.1 The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. StoreIT is not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Accessing external links is at the User's own risk.

11. Liability

11.1 StoreIT shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill.

11.2 Total liability shall not exceed the limits of the Basic Protection Guarantee.

11.3 StoreIT is not liable for loss or damage arising from events beyond its control, including natural disasters, strikes, or government actions.

12. Indemnity

Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless StoreIT, its employees, agents, and contractors from all losses, damages, costs, or legal expenses arising from (a) the User's breach of these Terms, (b) unsafe or illegal Items, or (c) misuse of the Platform.

13. Termination

13.1 Users may terminate their Account after settling all outstanding fees and arranging the return of Items.

13.2 StoreIT may terminate access for breaches, non-payment, or unsafe conduct.

13.3 Upon termination, StoreIT may delete data, remove access, and retain necessary records as required by law.

14. Intellectual Property

14.1 All Platform content is owned by StoreIT or its licensors.

14.2 Users may not copy, reproduce, or distribute Platform materials without prior written consent.

15. Dispute Resolution

15.1 Any dispute shall first be resolved through mediation or arbitration in Singapore before court proceedings.

16. General Provisions

16.1 Assignment: StoreIT may assign or subcontract any of its rights or obligations. Users may not transfer their rights under these Terms without consent.

16.2 Severability: If any provision is held invalid, the remainder remains in full force.

16.3 Waiver: Failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver.

16.4 Third-Party Rights: No person other than StoreIT and the User has rights under these Terms.

16.5 Entire Agreement: These Terms supersede all prior understandings relating to the Platform and Services.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of Singapore courts.
